 Welcome to Third Grade!

Hi Third Grade Families,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 School year! This is my 13th year here at St. Charles and I am looking forward to another excellent year! I am originally from New York and moved here in 2010 after finishing my Master's Degree in New York in Special Education. I have my undergraduate degree in Childhood Education.

I look forward to meeting everyone and having a wonderful school year!

Dear Third Grade Families, 
     I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mother's Day!
I want to thank you all so much for the extreme generosity shown to me for Teacher Appreciation Week! It meant the world to me, thank you all SO much!
     This week the students should be prepared each day with their 7 sentences for the Oratorical Fair to practice in and in the auditorium. I am not assigning any spelling homework this week to allow extra time to work on final reports, and posters for the fair. All reports and posters are due on Monday, 5/20.
     On Friday, we will have a math test on dividing by 6, 8, and 9 timed for 2 minutes and a religion test on Chapter 9.

Our STAR test schedule will be as follows:

Thursday, 5/16 - STAR MATH
Monday, 5/20 - STAR Reading
Thursday, 5/23 - STAR Early Lit (not everyone will have to take this test)

Homework

*Students should come prepared with Oratorical Fair Sentences all week and practice at home each night. There will be no spelling this week to allow extra time to practice.
